Security Officer Visitor Registration

About the role

As a Security Officer Visitor Registration Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, you will manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. This driving position offers the opportunity to provide outstanding customer service while supporting a secure environment.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location
• Control access to the facility by verifying credentials, issuing visitor and contractor badges, maintaining entry records, and communicating access concerns to appropriate site contacts
• Monitor entry points, access-control systems, and visitor activity; report suspicious activity, unauthorized access attempts, and security-related incidents according to site procedures
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency and notification protocols
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, operational areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns

Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located
• Have at least one year of law enforcement experience, two years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or three years of security-related experience
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred

$15.50 / Hour

• Tuesday: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Wednesday: 06:00 AM - 12:00 PM
• Sunday: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
