Security Officer Visitor Access
Job Description
As a Security Officer Visitor Access in Taftville, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy retail location where you will monitor access points, verify credentials, and support security-related protocols while delivering outstanding customer service. In this access control role, you will remain visible, communicate clearly with guests and team members, and help to deter incidents through professionalism and awareness.
What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to visitors, associates, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and document deliveries, pickups, and other access-related activity in accordance with post procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, stock areas, receiving zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual activity.
- Assist with closing and opening routines, help manage after-hours access, and support orderly traffic flow for employees, contractors, and/or guests entering the location.
Minimum Requirements
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
