Security Officer Patrol Access

About the role

As a Security Officer Patrol Access in West Des Moines, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading financial institution location as an unarmed patrol officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and help to document observations and actions taken according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the lobby, offices, exterior areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to identify security-related concerns and report them promptly.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and employee activity, and help to follow site-specific entry procedures for a professional financial services environment.
• Support Allied Universal standards by maintaining a visible presence, communicating with site contacts, and helping to address customer service needs and/or security-related issues as they arise.

Requirements

• Possess 2+ years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

• Ability to maintain a visible presence and communicate effectively.
