About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer (Access Control and Patrol) in Topton, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Access Control Officer, you will manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor visitor activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and guests. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to deter security-related incidents, and communicate professionally with site personnel. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, issuing temporary access credentials, and communicating entry requirements.
• Operate access control systems, monitor alarms and entry points, and report access-related concerns, damaged equipment, or unusual activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, parking areas, perimeter locations, and other designated areas to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
