Security Officer - Utility / Flex
About the role
GardaWorld Security Services is now hiring a Response Security Officer in Oakland, California. The ideal candidate should be adaptable and ready to serve in various security roles, including customer service, patrols, and surveillance.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the premises to ensure security
- Conduct patrols, on foot or on company vehicle, to spot any suspicious activity
- Control access points and verify identities
- Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining security
- Write detailed reports on events and incidents
- Collaborate with authorities during serious situations
- Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property
Qualifications
- Be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
- Have 2 years of security officer experience (preferred)
- Have a valid CA Driver's License
- Think quickly and adapt to changing situations
- Be responsive and have strong problem-solving skills
- If you have Security, Military, or Law Enforcement experience, it’s even better!
- Have a state security license (GUARD CARD) and additional 32hr. BSIS security trainings (additional trainings can be obtained during the hiring process)

Pay & Schedule
- Competitive hourly wage of $25.75 / hour
- DailyPay is available for GardaWorld employees!
- Schedule: Flex - 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM (Must be available on the weekend)
