As an Unarmed Security Officer at a premier retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff. This driving position supports a welcoming environment through clear communication and timely response to security-related concerns.
What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, employees, and/or vendors at a retail mall location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the mall, including common areas, retail corridors, parking areas, exterior perimeters, and other assigned locations.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
- Observe and report unusual activity, property conditions, and potential security-related concerns to help deter unauthorized activity and support a welcoming shopping environment.
- Assist with access control, directional assistance, and other customer service needs while maintaining professional communication with mall guests and stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
