Security Officer Unarmed Roving Driver

About the role

Award-winning Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Roving Driver in Miami, FL. This position supports daily operations through strong communication, customer service, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant information to site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials when required, and report policy violations, maintenance issues, and/or suspicious behavior in accordance with site guidelines.
• Support Allied Universal standards by maintaining a visible presence, preparing accurate activity reports, and assisting with orderly operations during routine and/or emergency situations.

Requirements

• Supervisory experience is required.
• At least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
• Basic computer skills.
