Security Officer Unarmed Rover-TWIC

About the role

As a Security Officer Unarmed Rover in Saint James, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and other security-related duties appropriate to an industrial chemical processing location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, operational areas, and perimeter routes to help identify potential concerns and report hazards, unauthorized activity, and/or maintenance issues.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor information, and document daily activities, observations, and incident details in accordance with site policies.
• Support emergency response activities by following post instructions, assisting with evacuations and restricted area control, and helping to maintain orderly operations during changing site conditions.

Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a valid driver's license for driving positions only.
