About the role
As a Security Officer Unarmed Response Patrol in Albuquerque, NM, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. This is a part-time position offering flexibility to build a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform.
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while supporting a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at government facilities by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government buildings, parking areas, grounds, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures; report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to designated personnel.
- Complete required incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
