Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Response
About the role
Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic tech location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and communicating updates to site contacts when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access-related issues, equipment concerns, and/or policy violations.
- Support security-related operations by completing routine logs, incident reports, and shift communications, while working in environments and conditions that may vary by location.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
- Commensurate with experience.
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
