Security Officer Unarmed Port Access Driver
About the role
As a Security Officer Port Access Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate for the location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, and document visitor, vendor, and vehicle activity in support of site access requirements.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with attention to restricted areas, gates, fencing, and other access control points within an industrial location.
- Support security-related operations by reporting unusual activity, monitoring for policy compliance, and helping to deter unauthorized access to the property.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- A TSA issued TWIC is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
