Security Officer Unarmed Patroller

About the Role

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patroller for a residential location in Glendale, CA. In this role, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will support residents and guests with outstanding customer service and clear communication while contributing to a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that always acts with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site expectations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, help to confirm authorized entry, and communicate with property management and/or local responders when needed.
• Document daily activity, incidents, and/or maintenance-related observations, and share relevant information with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Qualifications

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay and Schedule

This is a part-time position with a pay rate of $19.00 per hour. Schedule: Saturday and Sunday, 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM.
