As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Emergency Response in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as technology, media, and telecommunications. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a technology‑focused location by carrying out site‑specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site policies, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized access concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating to appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Requirements

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants with criminal histories will be considered consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment, depending on state/local regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Full‑time, Daytime

• Tuesday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Wednesday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Thursday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Friday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
