About the role
As a Security Guard Unarmed Patrol Driver Response in Baytown, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and report security-related concerns. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in the job state. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative Allied Universal team that acts with integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access control points, verify credentials as required, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and report unusual activity or unauthorized access attempts.
- Prepare accurate reports of incidents, patrol observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
