About the role
As a Security Officer Unarmed Driver Incident Response in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as healthcare. This part-time role offers flexibility and opportunity through our Claim a Shift platform. At a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This driving post requires a valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, patient care areas, parking locations, and exterior perimeters.
- Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner according to site procedures.
- Observe and report unusual activity, hazards, and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Assist with access control, visitor directions, and other security-related support activities as assigned.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- A New York State Security Guard License is required.
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Pay
$23.44 / hour
Schedule
- Wednesday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
- Thursday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
- Friday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
