About the role
As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver in Oglesby, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and offers the opportunity to respond professionally, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service. You will monitor and patrol a technology, media, and telecommunications location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus contacts and emergency services when needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, technology areas, parking lots, walkways, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or potential security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts, damaged property, or maintenance concerns.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership and site personnel regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities.
Requirements
- Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age (18+ for unarmed roles).
- Valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
