About the role

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver in River Rouge, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Utilities. This part-time, driving position requires a valid driver’s license and involves routine vehicle and foot patrols to maintain a visible presence, deter incidents, and monitor assigned areas. You will provide professional customer service, clear communication, and represent Allied Universal’s culture with integrity and teamwork.

At this site, there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity and deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing visitors and contractors, and documenting entries, exits, and security-related observations.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports related to patrols, incidents, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license (required for this driving position).
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$16.40 / hour

Schedule

• Friday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Saturday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
