About the role
As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Documentation in Penns Grove, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. You will communicate professionally, respond to site needs, and contribute to a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and school community members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, entrances, parking areas, athletic facilities, and surrounding grounds to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, report suspicious behavior or maintenance concerns, and maintain awareness of conditions throughout the educational location.
- Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and communicate relevant information with school personnel, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- Have access control and badge experience, preferred.
- Have customer service experience, preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$17.20 / Hour

- Day shift: Monday - Friday, 07:30 AM - 03:30 PM
