Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Customer Assistance

About the role

Allied Universal® is seeking an Unarmed Patrol Security Officer for a technology‑focused location in Hopewell Junction, NY. You will provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while conducting routine patrols, monitoring access points, and maintaining a visible presence to deter security‑related incidents. The position is full‑time.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security concerns.
• Monitor access control points and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established escalation and communication protocols.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs while communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screening as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply based on state or local regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Pay

$18.73 – $19.73 per hour

• Monday: 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
• Thursday: 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
• Friday: 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
• Saturday: 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
• Sunday: 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
