Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Customer Assistance

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology location in San Francisco, CA, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control and badge processes. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to security-related concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, entry points, common spaces, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report suspicious or unusual conditions.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Pay

$30.55 / hour
