Job Description
As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Coordinator in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will contribute to a caring culture built on teamwork, integrity, and a reliable, people-first approach while delivering responsive support throughout the location.

What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner within a retail location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout storefront areas, common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may need attention.
- Monitor access points, observe visitor and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate contacts.
- Support loss prevention awareness by maintaining a visible presence, documenting incidents, and communicating clearly with site contacts, local authorities, and/or emergency personnel when needed.
Minimum Requirements
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
