About the role

As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide compassionate customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. You will communicate professionally, respond to routine concerns, and support a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor activity, and assist with directing guests to appropriate areas while maintaining a welcoming healthcare environment.
• Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site personnel.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Wednesday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Saturday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sunday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
