About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for staff and visitors. You will conduct routine rounds, communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, clients, and staff at a government human services location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior areas, parking locations, and perimeter spaces to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, maintaining a professional and respectful presence in public-facing service areas.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
