Security Officer Unarmed Part Time TWIC Site Patrol

About the role

Allied Universal® is seeking a Part‑Time Security Officer (Unarmed) for a TWIC site patrol in Richmond, VA. You will serve and safeguard clients in government and other industries, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and supporting access‑control activities while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of port facilities, buildings, waterfront areas, parking areas, gates, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, permits, and vehicle authorizations in accordance with site procedures; document and report discrepancies to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and maintain communication with Allied Universal leadership, site representatives, and public‑service personnel as required.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a TSA‑issued TWIC.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment, subject to state and/or local regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Pay

$17.60 per hour

Schedule

Daytime – Monday 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM; Saturday 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM
