About the Role

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver in Sandy Level, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Utilities. This part-time, driving role involves conducting routine patrols, monitoring access points, and maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents. You will support critical operations through professional communication, incident reporting, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Complete detailed activity, incident, and patrol reports, and promptly report maintenance concerns, hazards, or security-related issues to appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with access control and badge systems.
• Customer service experience.
• Experience with alarm panels.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet.
