Security Officer Unarmed Part Time Overnights

As a Security Officer Patrol Support Role in Petersburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through proper channels and documenting observed activity as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening, directions, and general information while supporting site rules, restricted area protocols, and other security-related expectations.
• Support emergency preparedness activities by communicating with staff, assisting with access control during urgent events, and following post orders for medical center operations and after-hours coverage.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a valid driver's license for driving positions only.
