Security Officer - Unarmed Part-Time

As a Security Officer – Unarmed (Part‑Time) in Tempe, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries, conducting routine bicycle patrols, monitoring access points, maintaining a visible presence, and responding to security‑related concerns while providing professional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including bicycle patrols.
• Monitor access points and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents.
• Support a welcoming environment through clear communication and professional demeanor.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• Ability to ride a bicycle.
• Access control and badge experience (preferred).
• CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
• Customer service experience (preferred).
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements as required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Pay

$20.60 per hour.

Schedule

• Monday: 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Thursday: 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Sunday: 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM
