About the role

As a Security Officer Unarmed - Lake Houston Pkwy in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Access Control Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, controlling site access, and communicating professionally with employees and visitors. You will remain visible, respond to access-related concerns, and support a caring, reliable team culture built on integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the location by verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges, maintaining entry records, and directing authorized personnel and guests.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help identify unauthorized access, unusual activity, and security-related concerns.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and access-control events in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
