Security Officer Unarmed Hospital Full Time Afternoons

About the Role

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Operations in Petersburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries, particularly in healthcare settings. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, patient-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established facility protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Assist with access control, visitor management, and monitoring of entry points in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.

Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with applicable laws.
• Licensing requirements may be necessary prior to employment.

Pay

$19.75 / Hour

Schedule

Day Time: Mon, Fri, Sat, Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
