Security Officer Full-Time Afternoons (Hospital)

About the role

As a Full Time Security Officer (Hospital Detail) in Wexford, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a healthcare setting. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This role requires exceptional customer service, clear communication, and professional response to evolving situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility areas, parking locations, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
