About the role
As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to evolving situations.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, behavioral health concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout patient care areas, public spaces, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, directions, and access-control procedures in accordance with healthcare facility policies.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and appropriate site personnel.
Requirements
- Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
- Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Pay
$17.00 / hour
Schedule
- Wednesday: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Thursday: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- Sunday: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
