About the Role

As a Security Officer Unarmed Driving Assignment in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a busy retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. This driving post requires a valid driver's license and offers the chance to support customers and staff through strong communication, dependable service, and teamwork while reflecting our agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture.

Position Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Schedule

  • Tuesday: 11:00 PM - 06:00 AM
  • Thursday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
  • Friday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
  • Saturday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to location guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrance areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and support loss prevention awareness by reporting suspicious behavior and/or policy concerns.
  • Assist with closing procedures, crowd management, and/or de-escalation of customer service issues while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.

Requirements

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
