About the role
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location in Carleton, MI, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control, and help deter security-related incidents. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and use technology to document activity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and reporting requirements.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, production areas, parking facilities, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing visitors, and reporting unauthorized entry attempts or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
- Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and other required records while communicating professionally with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Customer service experience.
- Access control and badge experience.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Pay
$17.00 / Hour
Schedule
- Daytime, Part Time
- Tuesday: 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM
- Wednesday: 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM
- Thursday: 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM
