Security Officer Unarmed Perimeter Driver

About the Role

As a Security Officer Unarmed Perimeter Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls. This part-time position offers flexibility and the opportunity to build a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers, associates, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious conditions, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Document incidents and complete required reports while communicating relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$15.00 / Hour

Schedule

• Tuesday: 07:00 AM - 02:30 PM
• Sunday: 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM
