Security Officer Unarmed Driver Patrol

About the role

As a Full Time Unarmed Driver Patrol Security Officer in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Healthcare. In a healthcare setting, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while demonstrating Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care, and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, medical center emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, access-control procedures, and reporting of unusual activity or policy violations.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately and promptly in accordance with site-specific requirements and Allied Universal procedures.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• At least six months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$23.44 per hour.
