About the role

As a Security Officer Unarmed Part‑Time Patrol Presence in Ruther Glen, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. The position is part‑time, allowing you to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using the “Claim a Shift” platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to identify unusual activity and deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for personnel, visitors, contractors, and vehicles in accordance with site procedures, documenting observations and incidents as required.
• Complete daily activity reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation while communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 + years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Daytime – Monday 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM, Thursday 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM, Friday 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM (Part‑Time)
