About the role
As a Front Desk Officer at a healthcare location, you will serve as a welcoming, professional presence for patients, visitors, and staff. You will support access control, assist with visitor check-in, monitor the lobby area, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors at a healthcare facility by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and front desk protocols.
- Greet and screen visitors, verify identification and access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and direct individuals to appropriate departments or waiting areas.
- Monitor entry activity, manage visitor logs, and communicate access concerns or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established emergency response procedures.
- Answer phones, provide general information and directions, and maintain professional, courteous communication with patients, visitors, and staff.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
