Security Officer Unarmed Alarm Patrol Driver

About the role

As an Unarmed Alarm Patrol Driver in Sparrows Point, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. This role involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, monitoring access points, and communicating professionally with employees and visitors. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, common areas, parking facilities, building entrances, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and access concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, verify credentials when required, and report access-related issues to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, document observations, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation while supporting a professional and welcoming environment.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
