Security Officer Unarmed Alarm Patrol
About the role
Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic tech and communications location. In this role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, staff, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry points, verify access credentials as directed by site policy, and assist with visitor processing, deliveries, and other access control-related tasks at the location.
- Support day-to-day operations at a fast-paced technology-focused location by maintaining a visible presence, communicating clearly with employees and/or guests, and following post orders for assigned duties.
Requirements
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- A current CPR certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
