Security Officer Unarmed Alarm Patrol

About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a college campus environment in Corpus Christi, TX, you will conduct routine foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide welcoming customer service to students, staff, and visitors. Bring clear communication, sound judgment, and integrity while collaborating with a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and observe campus activity, documenting incidents, maintenance concerns, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
- Assist with directions, escorts, and general campus information while maintaining a professional and courteous presence.
Requirements
- Must be able to ride a bike.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
