Security Officer Unarmed Afternoons Part Time

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a residential community, you will help create a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access, and assisting residents and visitors with professionalism. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate clearly, and help deter security-related incidents while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, maintain visitor and vehicle records, and communicate access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and following established reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain a professional presence while providing clear directions and assistance to residents and guests in accordance with community policies.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$18.50 / Hour

Schedule

• Friday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Saturday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sunday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
