About the role
As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue and maintain badges, and monitor access activity at a dynamic terminal location in Seattle, WA. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and personnel, and help maintain a secure environment through professional presence and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, contractors, and employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access-related records.
- Control vehicle and pedestrian access to the location, direct authorized personnel and deliveries to designated areas, and report unauthorized access attempts.
- Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, surrounding areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
