Security Officer - Truckyard

About the role

As a Security Truckyard Officer - Bilingual (Spanish) in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a transportation location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to transportation facility personnel, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, vehicle-related concerns, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and notifications according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transportation facility buildings, parking areas, entry points, loading areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points and observe vehicle and pedestrian activity to help deter unauthorized entry and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain clear, accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate professionally with site contacts, dispatch personnel, and emergency responders as needed.

Requirements

• Speak, read, and write fluent Spanish.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay & Schedule

Pay Rate: $17.75 / Hour
Schedule: Daytime, Monday through Thursday, 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM
