About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location in Los Angeles, CA, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with directions and reporting access concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting emergency services when appropriate.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Baton certification is preferred.
- Guard card or license is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay
$26.79 / hour

- Friday: 03:30 PM - 12:00 AM
- Saturday: 03:30 PM - 12:00 AM
- Sunday: 03:30 PM - 12:00 AM
