Security Officer Store Patrol Driver

About the role

As a Security Officer Store Patrol Driver in Halethorpe, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a busy retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, associates, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, and report relevant details according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and document unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and/or suspicious behavior for follow-up by site leadership and Allied Universal.
• Support loss prevention awareness by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with de-escalation when appropriate, and communicating with store management and/or emergency responders as needed.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
