Security Officer Shopping Center Patrol Driver
About the role
As a Security Officer Shopping Center Patrol Driver in Nottingham, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine vehicle and foot patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will also support tenants and visitors through strong customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
- Respond to incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with property management and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, observe visitor and contractor activity, and support property rules and after-hours procedures in alignment with site expectations.
- Prepare clear, timely reports of incidents, observations, and/or daily activities while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Must pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
