Security Officer State Licensed Driving Patrol
About the role
Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer in a dynamic healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing details with site leadership and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter spaces to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas, assisting with access control, visitor interactions, and direction-giving while supporting site protocols and daily operations.
- Support emergency and routine response activities by communicating clearly with staff, patients, visitors, and/or public agencies during medical, fire, or other security-related events.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Minimum age requirement for armed roles: 21+
- Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Must pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
