About the role
As a Security Officer State Driving Patrol in Hartford, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government.
Responsibilities
- Carry out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or supervisors.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions that may require attention.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas, assisting with visitor processing, credential checks, and/or directional support in accordance with site policies.
- Support day-to-day operations by completing incident reports, maintaining accurate activity logs, and communicating professionally with employees, visitors, and/or public officials.
Requirements
- Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
