Security Officer - Split Shift

About the role

As a Security Officer in Mt. Pleasant, WI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to all visitors, drivers, and/or employees by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and reporting them through proper channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter points, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for personnel, visitors, and/or deliveries, verify credentials and shipping-related information as directed by site procedures, and report discrepancies.
• Support security-related operations at a logistics and distribution location by observing site conditions, communicating with site contacts, and assisting with incident response and access control needs.

Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Skills

• Computer skills are preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
