Security Officer Skilled Patrol Guard

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to management and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas, to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and visitor traffic, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations according to site guidelines.
• Support a professional atmosphere by assisting with directions, answering general questions, and documenting daily activities, incidents, and/or observations in required reports.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Skills

• Security-related experience.
• Loss prevention experience (preferred).
• Customer service experience (preferred).
• Guard card and/or license (preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
